11-12 September 2007: Sixth Steering Committee Meeting in Berlin
Meeting right after the Third Gleneagles Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Berlin, and with the Bali COP 13 Climate Conference and several other climate events on the horizon, participants underlined the need to fully take into account the major contribution that renewables can make to climate change mitigation.

Since the Bonn Conference in 2004, renewables have come a long way. Looking to the WIREC 2008 Conference, the Steering Committee conveyed the message that renewables' huge deployment potentials are ready to be realised on the fast track, starting today.

Other issues on the agenda were the Renewables Global Status Report and the review of renewable energy policy measures.
